As an Ohio wedding photographer, I’ve documented weddings at many waterfront venues. But when Nicole and Brett told me they were planning to say “I do” at Catawba Island Club, I knew this was going to be a celebration to remember! From the moment we arrived until the newlyweds raced off into their happily ever after, Catawba Island Club was stunning, detail-oriented and fresh.

As the bridesmaids got ready, I couldn’t help but marvel at how simple (in the best way) the getting ready space was! With its open space and floor to ceiling mirrors, it was perfect! And the groom’s prep room was equally as amazing! I always advise couples to get ready in the same space to help with timing. And Catawba Island Club absolutely delivered!

When we arrived for the ceremony, I just loved how Lake Erie was the backdrop! Not only did it perfectly suit the dream wedding day Nicole and Brett had described to me, but it also surprised me with how well it photographed in the afternoon light.

There was definitely no shortage of incredible spots for portraits, that’s for sure! From the photos we took in front of the hotel to the ones along the Lake Erie dock, Nicole and Brett are going to have a crazy hard time choosing which ones to print and hang in their home! When the guests saw the elegance of the white tent, they were speechless.

Nicole and Brett’s wedding celebration was so authentic to them and so fun. Congratulations, you two on your marriage!
