Sunset Sunflowers: Meet Lexi, Class of 2018

Meet Lexi, a 2018 senior from Medina High School. Lexi and I met at the Maria’s Field for Hope on Monday. The sunflower field, located in Avon, Ohio, started in 2014 to “draw attention to the lack of funding for childhood cancer.”  The field is in honor of Maria McNamara who lost her life to cancer at the age of seven.

The Sunflower field was a perfect place to capture the beauty of Lexi and sunset. We arrived at the perfect time. The sun was still well above the horizon for shots that used the full sunlight, but it eventually fell and we were blessed with these beautiful colors.

At Medina High School, Lexi is involved in a few clubs, including Spanish and Chem. She doesn’t know where she wants to go to college yet, but she knows that she will want to study something involving the medical field.

Lexi brought her adorable dog Molly with her for a few photos. Molly was more than ecstatic to be a part of Lexi’s shoot. I might have even got her to smile.

In ten years, Lexi hopes to be married and financially stable. But for now, she enjoys spending time with her friends and shopping. Before I even started talking with Lexi about what she likes to do, I knew she was a shopper. Every outfit she brought with her, I wanted to take home with me for myself! I mean look at her, she looks like she belongs in a Francesca’s ad.
